TerraPro Group's Storm Damage Restoration Process

At TerraPro Group, we follow a systematic, industry-approved process that ensures each restoration project is thorough, timely, and safe. Below is a breakdown of our restoration workflow, with expanded detail for each phase.

24/7 Emergency Response

We provide immediate mobilization, no matter the time or day. Our certified technicians arrive on-site equipped with everything needed to stabilize the property. This often includes roof tarping, board-up services, shutting off utilities, and placing warning signs to keep the area safe for occupants and workers.

Detailed Damage Assessment

Our restoration experts use infrared cameras, hygrometers, and moisture meters to detect visible and hidden damage. This stage ensures no moisture pockets or structural weaknesses go unnoticed, helping us design a comprehensive restoration plan tailored to your property’s needs.

Water Extraction and Structural Drying

Using commercial-grade vacuums and truck-mounted pumps, we remove standing water quickly. Next, we deploy high-powered air movers and dehumidifiers to dry the structure, preventing mold growth and further deterioration. Moisture mapping ensures even subflooring and insulation are thoroughly dried.

Debris Removal and Cleaning

Damaged drywall, flooring, ceiling materials, and insulation are removed and properly discarded. Our team then conducts deep cleaning using hospital-grade antimicrobials to sanitize the space, eliminating potential health hazards and preparing the area for rebuild.

Mold Prevention and Air Purification

We apply antimicrobial solutions to affected areas and use HEPA air scrubbers to remove mold spores and allergens from the air. This is especially important in humid environments like Atlanta, where mold can develop in under 48 hours. We specialize in the unique conditions needed for storm damage restoration in Sandy Springs and the Atlanta region.

Complete Restoration and Reconstruction

The final stage involves rebuilding damaged areas to their pre-loss condition. This includes drywall installation, painting, electrical repairs, flooring, and more. Throughout this phase, we work closely with your insurance provider to document work completed and ensure smooth claims processing.

While professional help is crucial, there are preventative steps you can take:

Inspect Your Roof Regularly: Look for missing shingles or cracked tiles. Regular maintenance prevents water intrusion during storms.
Trim Trees Around Your Property: Overhanging limbs are a major hazard during high winds. Prune trees to reduce the risk of falling branches.
Install a Sump Pump with Backup Battery: Basements flood easily. A sump pump with a battery backup can protect against power outages.
Seal Windows and Doors: Ensure caulking and weather stripping are intact. Water can seep through even the tiniest gaps.
Elevate Electrical Systems: Raise outlets, switches, and wiring above expected flood levels, especially in flood-prone areas.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This company is amazing. Complete professionals. They were very organized and worked fast. We had water damage and they dealt with the insurance and did wonderful job restoring our house. We had initially contacted another company, which kept delaying everything. TerraPro send someone immediately to inspect and start the process and their timeline was much better. They also never tried to charge us extra for anything and, in fact, fixed a few small additional things for no extra charge. I'd definitely use them again for anything around the house. Jose Marquina, who supervised the work, was fantastic!

Jose kept us informed, set clear expectations, and went above and beyond-especially when unexpected issues from prior poor workmanship came up. His attention to detail and commitment to getting it right gave us complete peace of mind.

The crews were skilled, respectful, and took great pride in their work. Our home was fully restored to its pre-loss condition, and we couldn't be happier with the results.

We HIGHLY recommend Terra Pro Group.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. In a world where questionable contractors are everywhere, peace of mind is very important. I had complete peace of mind with TerraPro from day 1. Our insurance claim had languished with another contractor for almost two years before TerraPro got on the scene, so I was a very “hands on” homeowner. I knew from the first interaction that there were going to prioritize details and not cut corners. They are professional, patient, thorough, and punctual (it’s genuinely difficult to think of something negative to say). Highly recommend.
